Los escritores siempre buscan historias. Imaginamos un comienzo y, en algún momento, un final. Una de las cosas más sorprendentes de las narraciones es que son infinitas. Escribí sobre la relación entre una mariquita y una mujer en «Comenzando a morir», es imposible tener los bolsillos vacíos. Sin embargo, la industria del cine está llena de remakes. En mi opinión personal, es por miedo. Cuando alguien se arriesga, él o ella tiene que luchar contra todas las dudas y preconcepciones, y cuando esa persona gana de alguna manera, es posible ver caras alrededor preguntándose por qué no lo hicimos nosotros. Veo muchas cosas nuevas y sorprendentes que nunca saldrán a la luz debido al miedo. Sí, correr riesgos nos asusta, pero nunca veremos una luz real si nos quedamos en nuestra zona segura. Las películas son para personas valientes que son capaces de saltar a lo desconocido. Tenemos que invertir enormes presupuestos, explosiones de creatividad, horas sin dormir y una increíble cantidad de deseo de ser narradores. ¿Saltas?
Do you jump?
Writers are always looking for stories. We imagine a beginning and at some point, an end. One of the most amazing things about the narratives is that they are endless. I wrote about the relationship between a ladybug and a woman in “Starting to die,” it is impossible to have empty pockets. Nevertheless, the movie industry is full of remakes. In my personal opinion, it is because of fear. When somebody takes the risk, he or she has to fight against all the doubts and preconceptions around, and when that person wins in any way, it is possible to see faces around asking themself why didn’t we. I see many new and amazing things that never will the light because of the fear. Yes, to take risks makes us scare but we never will see a real light if we stay in our secure zone. Movies are for brave people who are capable of jumping into the unknown. We have to invest huge budgets, creativity explosions, hours without sleep, and an incredible amount of the desire to be storytellers. ¿Do you jump?
